Where are the best grapes grown?Napa. But Napa has nothing to do with the ocean. How do you get alittle ocean into Napa grapes? Easy. You load them into andun-covered truck, head due west, and then drive them down the coastall the way to San Diego. This bombards the grapes with oceanmist.

To avoid the "freeway mist," we make this journey in the middleof the night. The result? Subtle yet distinct ocean aromas andflavors mixed with all the complexity of the finest Napagrapes.

This wine is excellent with gamy meat, but we prefer to enjoy italone, especially after a long road trip.

Visit Current Release Wines to see additional products in this category.

This process contributes subtle notes of saltycaramel that balance the spicy zing of the uniquely CalifornianZinfandel grape. So far, nobody else has tried this. But as soon asthe word gets out, we expect it to become a Zinfandel standard. Ifyou live your life on the cutting edge, you'll want to be the firstone you know to give this a try. It pairs excellently with sushiand carpaccio.

Visit Current Release Wines to see additional products in this category.

At Surfside Cellars,we believe in being laid back. Barnacles take this to the extreme.Once they land on a good spot, they never move. Ever. Which makesone wonder how they reproduce. Well, let's just say that barnaclehas the largest ratio of reproductive organ size to body size outof any living creature. It's true. How does this affect the Merlotdes Bernaches? Well, some claim that it gives those who drink itspecial powers. We don't know about that, but we know it has someof the most interesting and complex flavors that we’ve ever tastedin a merlot. And of course, it pairs perfectly with shellfish.

Visit Current Release Wines to see additional products in this category.
